There are three main types of customization: Screen Printing, Embroidery, and Digitally Printing (aka Direct-to-Garment).
Screen Printing involves laying down one solid color at a time to achieve a completed design. It is most commonly used for orders of 24 or more.
Embroidery involves stitching out the desired artwork with solid-colored thread, and consequently represents a more classic, permanent style of apparel decoration.
Heat Transfer Printing is the process of applying a full color (photo quality) image onto fabric. The image is first printed onto special adhesive material and is subsequently plotted out and pressed onto a garment, along with a clear protective film. It is most commonly used for orders of 12 units or less with detailed color schemes, photos, or fades.
For all customized samples, standard pricing applies.
*Please call for availability and for quantities over 500 as rush charges apply for quantities up to 500. Orders must be approved by 3:00 PM Mountain Standard Time.
Pre-Digitized Fonts do not include any special effects like 3D embroidery. Any special effects will require a full $45 digitizing charge.
Note for Pocket Embroidery that pockets with a single opening of 5” or less typically do not provide enough room for aftermarket embroidery. Any embroidery for a pocket area may require a pre-production run or relocation of the artwork to ensure quality.
For 3-D Embroidery, we recommend artwork that is no larger than 1/4" wide in any direction. Also, we recommend 3D Embroidery on items that do not get washed in a washing machine, such as hats or bags.
Generic: up to 14" x 16" on larger items
Heat transfer: up to 10" x 14" on larger items
For Silk Screened Shirts, the imprint area can go up to 16" tall x 12.5" wide or 12.5" tall and 14" wide on larger items, youth shirts maximum print width is 9”, and sleeve prints maximum width is 3.5”.
For Digitally Printed T-Shirts: up to 13" x 17" on larger items.
For embroidered caps, maximum embroidered area is approx 2 1/2" x 5". For 3-D Embroidery, we recommend artwork that is no larger than 1/4" wide in any direction.
There are no additional screen setup charge for multiple types of apparel that have the same print in the same size, color, and location.
We can screen print up to 10 spot colors on white shirts. If the customer wants to reproduce a photo effect or multiple colors more than 10 we can do simulated CMYK printing. For black and dark colored shirts we can print 8 spot colors or less. This is because dark colors require an underlay for the other inks to be visible on the dark shirt. We cannot do a simulated CMYK print on a dark shirt.
Please note that we can only do one color of print on Nylon products.
